Here at Horizon Med Spa in Kansas City, we have a couple different options for you to choose from when booking your appointment. Are There Any Forms I Need To Complete Before My Appointment?


No! All you need to bring to your appointment is yourself and a smile. 


When you arrive, we’ll have a few quick forms ready for you to complete in the office. They’re simple and only take a few minutes, so there’s no need to rush or arrive too early. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment. We want your visit to feel relaxed from the moment you walk through the door.



What to Expect When Walking into Horizon Med Spa and Wellness

A Warm Welcome from Our Team


You will be warmly greeted by myself, Jacqueline, the Patient Care Coordinator. After you're greeted you will be handed an iPad to fill out a few forms and consents (3-10 minutes). Please note that we do not accept insurance.


Relax and Refresh While You Wait


Once you sit down with the iPad you can help yourself to coffee or any of our complimentary drinks in the fridge. We also have mints and lots of chocolate options for you to enjoy while you wait. 


Minimal Wait Times


You should expect to be seen promptly after your forms are filled out. It is usually no more than a 10 min wait if at all! Our providers try their best to get you as promptly as they can.

What you can expect when meeting with your Horizon Med Spa provider depends on what appointment you are coming in for! Each appointment has different standards of what is being done.


A Personalized Consultation Experience


You can expect to feel welcome, comfortable and heard at all of your appointments at Horizon Med Spa. Each of our providers will make you comfortable to share your concerns. They will listen to you and talk through your care options.


Each of our providers are very transparent about pricing and will make sure you understand the price of our services before making a commitment!


Typical Appointment Lengths by Service Type


At Horizon Med Spa, every appointment is designed with your comfort and time in mind. Whether you’re visiting for a quick injectable touch-up or a full aesthetic treatment, our goal is to provide a seamless experience from start to finish. Here’s a general idea of how long you can expect to be with us during your visit.


Injectables


Our injectable appointments are efficient yet never rushed. Treatments like Dysport, Daxxify, or Botox typically take about 30 minutes, while filler appointments range from 60 to 75 minutes to allow time for precision and care. PRF and Sculptra sessions usually last around 45 minutes, giving your provider plenty of time to deliver natural, beautiful results.


Nurse Practitioner Wellness Visits

Our treatment rooms at our Kansas City Plaza med spa are designed to make you feel cared for, relaxed, and confident in your treatment experience.

If you’re visiting one of our nurse practitioners for a wellness consultation, you can expect your appointment to last about an hour. This time allows for a thorough discussion of your health history, goals, and any questions you may have about hormone therapy, weight management, or other wellness services.


Esthetic Treatments (HydraFacials, IPL, Morpheus8, Laser Hair Removal)


Our esthetic treatments vary in length depending on the service and your specific needs. HydraFacials generally take about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes, while IPL treatments last around 45 minutes. Morpheus8 sessions are more in-depth and typically run about an hour and a half. For laser hair removal, appointment times range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area.


No matter which service you receive, you can expect each room to be exceptionally clean, private, and comfortable. Every detail is designed to make you feel cared for, relaxed, and confident in your treatment experience.



After Your Appointment At Horizon Med Spa


Checking Out and Product Purchases


Once you and your provider are done with your service, the provider will walk you up front to then check out. 


When you're checking out, this is when you can buy products if anything has caught your eye or if you and your provider have talked about a product you are interested in! I will gladly help you with the pricing of these products, what they consist of, and what they can do for you! We carry brands such as Obaji, SkinBetter, Colorescience, and Omnilux.

Owner of Horizon Med Spa and Wellness


Kimberly Losik, a board certified nurse practitioner, is the Founder, Owner and Medical Director of Horizon Med Spa and Wellness. Kimberly has earned multiple degrees including a bachelors in Kinesiology, a bachelors in Nursing, as well as a Masters in Nursing. For over a decade, she has earned experience in Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Internal medicine, Medical weight loss, aesthetics and anti-aging medicine.


Her passion to help patients look and feel like the best version of themselves was the foundation of Horizon Med Spa, which began in early 2020. Since then, she has attended numerous trainings, conferences and seminars to continue to offer patients the best solutions Additionally, she is a clinical trainer for the company Inmode, an internationally recognized leader in the aesthetic industry.
