The med spa trends in the world of aesthetics are constantly changing. Med spas in Kansas City are a very trustworthy place to have aesthetic treatments done because we generally start to offer things that we see starting in the east and west coast. Kansas City clients are always embracing new, cutting edge treatments, and how you can enhance your overall health. I personally feel like Kansas City is one of the biggest hot spots for aesthetics in the midwest and that we stay ahead of the curve in offering the most in-demand services.

What are the top med spa trends in Kansas City right now?

The top trends for med spas in Kansas City are natural looking results, skin health, prejuvenation, biostimulators, and personalized product plans. Our most recent blog post walks you through each of these med spa trends in Kansas City

Let's dive into each of these med spa trends in Kansas City and discover how you can capitalize on them to look and feel like your best self.

  1. Natural Looking Results

I am so glad that Kansas City is so great about providing natural looking results. We really try to avoid the “pillow face” look that many women and men worry about in this industry. At Horizon, all of our providers do a top notch job of telling our patients how to enhance their look without crossing any lines to provide natural looking results.

Microdosing GLP-1s and injectables

What is Microdosing?

One of our favorite med spa trends in 2025 has been “microdosing”. This is referring to smaller amounts of medication or product used for a specific clientele. For example, microdosing a GLP-1 is going to help with inflammation, bloating, PCOS, and other underlying symptoms that may not be just weight loss.

What is Microtoxing or Baby Botox?

"Micro-toxing" means using a small amount of neurotoxin to target the skin superficially instead of deeper muscles. We use techniques of “micro-toxing” to remove fine lines and wrinkles in areas like above the lips

Facial Balancing

What is Facial Balancing?

Facial balancing uses fillers, sculptra, and other injectables to improve the overall balance and facial symmetry. By strategically placing fillers in the right areas we can enhance other areas, elongate the face, and give you the symmetry you always wanted. At Horizon, we have experienced injectors who really take facial balancing to the next level.

  1. Skin Health

Clear, glowing skin is one med spa trend everyone is going for. Oftentimes people get a lot of injectables but forget about the canvas we are working with. You can’t forget that thick, full coverage makeup is not trendy anymore. Those 2018 filled in brows are straight up out. of. style.

At Horizon Med Spa and Wellness, we offer treatments that keep the skin glowing like microneedling, chemical peels (especially VI Peel), and medical grade facials, including Hydrafacials. These are awesome tools to maintain your skin health, but depending on your starting point, we may need a more aggressive approach to get your goals right. Consultations are a great way to start at our office!

  1. Younger Clientele And Prejuvenation

What is Prejuvenation?

Prejuvenation is a preventative aesthetic treatment for aging, combining dysport, botox, laser treatments, and other anti-aging treatments, and often starting in the lower to mid 20s.

Prejuvenation is on the rise! This year one med spa trend we have noticed is a lot more younger patients entering our office. Patients are starting prejuvenation in their lower to mid 20’s rather than millennials starting closer to 30.

I think prejuvenation is important to mention because the use of sunscreen and the care we give ourselves in our younger years will benefit us so much when we get into our 50’s and 60’s. I always try to educate my younger clients with a “sisterly” approach as to why we should begin using things like sunscreen and retinoids, and how treating those active muscles now are going to help so much down the line.

  1. Biostimulators and PRF

When it comes to 2025 med spa trends, we have seen a bigger interest in things like Sculptra, salmon DNA, and PRF. These treatments are all more natural things that can help you reach your skin goals. We are able to treat areas like the temple hollows and under eyes like never before. Biostimulators and PRF are going to give you natural rejuvenation without drastic changes! It can take some time for things like Sculptra and PRF to kick in, so the changes are undetectable but give you a long lasting and subtle lift.

Biostimulators and PRF go hand in hand with things like microneedling, where we are creating an injury to the skin to stimulate collagen and let your body do its own natural healing process.

  1. Personalized Product Plans

Personalized product plans have been a huge med spa trend in 2025. Some information about skincare on social media is...not the best advice. Purchasing skin care that you see someone else using online is honestly a waste of money. Your skin is different! You may be dull, dry, oily, or acne prone!

When you schedule an aesthetic consulation with Horizon Med Spa, we will do a skin analysis and see what is missing in your skincare routine. Our staff is very proficient at giving you the best bang for your buck while also reaching your skin goals.

2025 Kansas City Aesthetic Trends: Combining Wellness and Aesthetics

Our wellness program is something I want to give Horizon Med Spa and Wellness a pat on the back for. We have really focused on integrating wellness and aesthetics in 2025. We have taken a closer look at hormones, cortisol, food sensitivity, gut health, and what that does for your skin and the aging process. We are a one stop shop!

Our preference will always be natural over dramatic when it comes to your aesthetic results. We work often with Kansas City brides, social events, and any other Kansas City events. We will always do our best in finding the best treatments to keep Kansas City ahead of med spa trends.

Book a consultation at either one of our locations and we can make a plan for you today!
